Green Bay & Western RR Depot
Our photographer was standing on top of a box car when he took this photograph of the depot and two trains. The train shown on the left was on the Waupaca-Green Bay Railway line and will depart for Waupaca, possibly stopping at Rowe's Crossing or at Knutson's Crossing. The train on the right is on the Iola Northern side of the main line and could possibly be waiting for a passenger train on the Green Bay & Western passenger train to clear the tracks. Or it might well be an IN freight getting ready to back the 4.3 miles north to Iola. In the background is a water tank and windmill to furnish the thirsty steam locomotives with a needed drink. View is looking west.
